亡き平重盛の母は高階基章の娘、一方、宗盛の母は清盛の正妻・時子。宗盛が平家一門の家督を継いだことによって、重盛の子息たちは平家の中で、微妙な立場に追い込まれていたことが想像できる。・・・」
