　著者はChris Organ, Charles L. Nunn, Zarin Machanda, and Richard W.Wranghamの論文で、著者の中に、ランガムが入ってます。それも最終著者として。
　原論文は、Phylogenetic rate shifts in feeding time during the evolution of Homo PNAS 2011 ; published ahead of print August 22, 2011, doi:10.1073/pnas.1107806108 です。
　ランガムとその共同研究者は、「チンパンジーの祖先とホモの祖先との分枝からホモ・エレクトスが現れる190万年前までは、臼歯の大きさの大幅な減少はない。」、と報告してます。

　今回のガザ地区からのロケット攻撃に対してイスラエルのミサイル防衛システムが機能してるみたいね。その経費を米国が支弁してるってのも面白いな。↓

　Israel only has two of the systems and has said it needs around 15 batteries for optimal protection around Gaza and the Lebanon border. Defense Minister Ehud Barak said Israel would have two more batteries by the end of this year, and nine by the end of 2013.
　The US Congress has budgeted $203.4 million in 2011 to help pay for more batteries, which cost $21 million each. ・・・
