　–小保方博士についての報道–
　太田様、ほぼ毎日ロンドンで読ませて頂いております。
　さて、BBCなどでも小保方晴子さんの画期的な研究結果について報道され始めていますが特別この科学者の性別に絡むコメントはないようです。
　何かに成功した女性を日本のメディアが伝える伝統的な表現方法として、夫がいれば「妻として」、子供がいれば「母の顔」、そして家庭的であるという点を入れることが好まれるようです。
　逆に男性であれば成功物語がほとんどで、その人の家庭のエピソード等は入らないという印象です。
　日本では女性は男性に並んで仕事をすることは特に求められていないので私は遠くから「ああまたか」「女性を枠に入れておきたいのは脅かされる恐怖心から？」と思っていましたが、ノーベル賞受賞者の山中教授は同じ研究者として尊敬の言葉を述べておられ、際立って清々しいと感じました。
　もしも小保方さんがイギリスのメディアのインタビューに応えてもらえるチャンスがあれば、質問者はきちんと科学者に対しての対応の仕方をするでしょう。
　日本の少子化は、そのような古臭い日本の男性中心主義が鬱陶しい女性の小さな抵抗の一つの表れかもしれません。
経済的なゆとりも、夫の助けや行政のしっかりした育児サポートもなく、子供を多く産めということ自体女性（＝名前を失った誰かのお母さん）に負担を押し付けすぎです。
　また研究とそれこそ人生を共にする人との家庭を両立させるのは大変だろうと思いますが、小保方博士には超越してびのび研究に励んでもらえる環境にいられることを心から祈っています。

　そりゃそうだ。確かに現代音楽の方が、自然な音楽ではある。
　しかし、その割には、不協和音音楽大国の日本から現代音楽の大家が輩出しないねえ。↓
